(September 21, 2009) — Maui Wowi Hawaiian, the only destination for authentic Hawaiian coffee and fresh smoothies on the Mainland, has expanded its worldwide ‘Ohana (family) with new locations in Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Turkey. The expansion marks the continued international push to bring the Aloha Spirit to the world by Maui Wowi Hawaiian as part of its international franchise development program.

Saudi Arabia

Maui Wowi Hawaiian opened its second location in Saudi Arabia at the upscale Hyatt Mall in Riyadh. Before opening its first location, the Master Franchisees had to create the word “smoothie” for its signage. The Arabic language did not have a word for smoothie, but with the help of Maui Wowi, it does now!

Turkey

The first-ever Turkish Maui Wowi Hawaiian fixed location is set to open at the end of October 2009 in Ankara, Turkey. The Master Franchisee operates an event cart and has seen tremendous response from the locals in the area. Ankara is Turkey’s second largest city after Istanbul.

Mexico

Cancún marks the fourth Mexican location for Maui Wowi Hawaiian with 20 more locations planned by the end of 2010. Currently there are three locations in Cancún, and one in Playa del Carmen. New locations in Tulum and Guadalajara are currently under development.

Where is Maui Wowi Hawaiian? Fort Wayne, Indiana!

The Lakes Mall in Muskegon, Michigan

Greenwood Village, Colo. – (November 13, 2009) Maui Wowi Hawaiian announces its newest Maui Wowi Hawaiian and Doc Popcorn co-marketing location at The Lakes Mall in Muskegon, Michigan. Jeff and Corinne Fortenbacher owners and operators of the Maui Wowi Hawaiian have been chosen to be a part of the nationwide co-marketing pilot program to test the concept across Maui Wowi Hawaiian’s varied business models.

Earlier this year, Maui Wowi Hawaiian and Doc Popcorn, a Boulder, Colorado-based retailer and producer of all-natural flavored popcorn signed a national co-marketing agreement to test the concept throughout the Maui Wowi Hawaiian franchise system.

Say Aloha (Again) to the Second Maui Wowi Hawaiian and Doc Popcorn
Co-Marketing Location in Portage, Michigan

Greenwood Village, Colo. – (December 4, 2009) Maui Wowi Hawaiian, a Denver-based coffee and smoothie franchisor and Doc Popcorn, a Boulder, Colorado-based retailer and producer of all-natural flavored popcorn, will open their second joint-marketing location in Michigan. Scott Suryan, owner/operator of the new Maui Wowi and Doc Popcorn location opened the new pilot store at the Crossroads Mall in the mall’s former Cinnabon location. On December 13, the store will be giving away a free small bag of popcorn from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.

This newest location opened November 27th, Black Friday – just in time for the busy holiday season. Suryan is the latest franchisee, and the second in Michigan to test the concept across Maui Wowi Hawaiian and Doc Popcorn’s varied business models. The first Michigan co-marketing location opened earlier this month at the Lakes Mall in Muskegon.
